Painter and poet
This amazing child prodigy also began writing poetry at the age of 7. She's considered the only known child genius in both fields of realist painting and poetry. Akiane's poems are as inspirational as her paintings. According to the great Lithuanian poet Vladislovas Blinstrubas, her poetry overflow with wisdom. "I doubt there ha has ever been a literary child genius of sush maturity," Blinstrubas said.
Akiane calls herself "just a normal girl." But most disagree. Her numerous interviews on TV talk shows and news programs have made her a celebrity. Fame, though, is not Akiane's goal.
In a U.S. magazine interview, Akiane said, "I really want to help needy people in Africa and other places." She already gives a large amount of her earnings to children's charities.
"I have been blessed by God," Akiane said. "And if I'm blessed, there is one reason and one reson only, and that is to help others."
